Local Music and Live Band Karaoke in Lafayette!

Due to expected high temperatures, Make Music Day Lafayette, originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 21, at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, has been postponed. We are working with the band to reschedule and will announce a new date soon! If you already signed up for Live Karaoke, you will be given priority sign-up when the new date is announced. 



What is Make Music Day?

Held annually on June 21, Make Music Day is part of the international Fête de la Musique, taking place in 700 cities across 120 countries. The daylong, musical free-for-all celebrates music in all its forms, encouraging people to band together and play in free public concerts.

This year, Lafayette is excited to again participate in Make Music Day. Live karaoke, songs from the 60s will be held 6pm-8:30pm at the Library Amphitheater.

Make Music Day 2017This is your chance to sing with a live band! Eighteen slots are available for lead singers and instrument accompaniments.

Select your song from our songlist. Then complete this form. Deadline for live band karaoke submission is Monday, June 19 at 5pm. We will fill lead singer positions first, then instrumental accompaniments based on those 18 songs. We will confirm your participation in the event via email. Questions? Contact Jay at
